"In the harvest feast or the fallow ground, My certain hope is in Jesus found My lot, my cup, my portion sure Whatever comes, we shall endure."

- Sandra McCracken, In Feast or Fallow
Freedom

I'm home! :) It's great. I'm trying to establish a pattern of non-laziness before it's too late.

To share, one of the most freeing things I've done lately is sell most of my books, movies, and old CDs to Half Price Books. I've made $60. Even better, though, I've been able to let go of a lot of things and remind myself over and over again that I don't need this "stuff". I refuse to store up treasures on earth! Obviously, having things like that is not necessarily bad... but in the past I have definitely been in the position where it would be impossible to give things like that up. Now, I'm able to do it gladly, and feel so much better and more free because of it. So why not? I only pray that I will be able to use the money wisely!

I'm really excited for this break! I mean, even besides the fact that I have no school, I've been provided by the grace of God a chance to make some good money for the next week (I'll be working with the Mail Handlers until the 16th for almost 50 hours total!) and of course quality time with the fam as well! I also found out today that I'll be helping out for Christmas on the Highway (a talent show put on by the Student Ministry at my church that occurs every Christmas), one of the many joys in my life :). This will be my fourth year to be involved in it behind-the-scenes! Though I may not be Stage Manager again this year, it's still so much fun for me to be able to stress, manage at least something, pull it all together and watch the event run seamlessly. Ahh. Wonderful satisfaction :).

dude, yes. Doing the decorations for COTH is a highlight of my year for all the same reasons!

Also, the Donald Miller quote at the top of your blog today is amazing. That book is awesome. (Searching for God Knows What)
